Midget U18 Team State Champions

Midget U18 Team State Champions
Congratulations to the U-18 team on capturing the Tier II state championship.  The U-18 team started their state tournament weekend with a 6-1 victory over Hamden.

The championship game was against the Wonderland Wizards. The U-18's would find themselves in a 2-0 hole mid way through the second period. Charlie luft was able to open up the score for SCYH to close the gap to 2-1. The play went back and forth until, Mathew Walker transitioned quickly with just over a minute to go in regulation and scored his first of the game to tie the game at 2-2 and send it to OT.

In overtime, both the Wizards and the Stars had chances, but SCYH was able to get a power play and Mathew Walker would deliver a game winning goal in OT. The U-18's got stellar goaltending from KC Adams and solid play from the entire team.

The U-18's will compete in San Jose, California in April at the National tournament. Best of luck to the U-18's!

Parent Conduct

Keeping it real

With the start of 2018-2019 hockey season underway, the SCYH BOD would like to wish everyone a safe and fun experience. The season can seem like a long stretch at times and over the course of the next several months, there will be occasions when emotions can run high.

If there comes a time during the season where you need to voice a concern, please remember that all inquiries must start and end with the coaching staff. The coach will initiate communication with the appropriate person on the BOD, to begin working on a resolution.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and remember:

This is the time in the kids lives to have fun and enjoy the experience.

Please do not be the parent this sign was made for!

Enjoy the rest of the summer and we look forward to seeing you around the rink.
